Pigmentation

Pigmentation, often referred to as melanin production, is a complex process that determines the colour of our skin, hair, and eyes. it is controlled by specialized cells called melanocytes, which are scattered throughout the skin's epidermis. These cells produce a pigment called melanin, responsible for giving our skin its unique hue. The issues arises when this complex process becomes unbalanced and creates hyperpigmentation (Hyper = more and pigment = colour).

Hyperpigmentation is a notoriously challenging condition to treat and often take sup to a year for people to see effective results.
